"Your bill is $846 and eighteen cents," the manager said. "But for you, I'll knock off the change."
"Sounds fair," Corey replied, handing the man an 'IOU' card. "As soon as I get the money I'll make it my priority to get it to you."
"Sir, you do realize this is an invalid payment, right? Surely after staying here for six months you thought of a financial plan." He looked at them curiously.
"We did," Erin answered, not missing a beat. "There it is." She pointed to the slip of paper in his hand. It was laminated in tape, with bright red lettering that clearly read, 'IOU'.
"Thanks for the service and consideration - you really put the 'ass' in assistance," Corey wisecracked."We'd love to stay - no, I'm kidding. Deuces douche-bag!"
"Dammit! The door's jammed again!" Erin said.
The two grabbed a fairly inexpensive lobby chair and rammed it into the door.
The manager stood, dumbstruck, behind the counter...
